How do you choose a good book to read? Sometimes finding a good book is like playing Russian Roulette. What do you do when you don't have any friends to discuss books with? I've created this blog to open an online discussion of great books.

Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn

Before reading this book, I read many reviews that said, "Wow!" So, I thought I would give it a try. I was not disappointed. I love a book that makes me rethink everything in the middle of the book. This book makes you feel strong emotions and then, around page 200, your feelings are turned upside down. Whatever you think about the characters at the beginning of the book completely changes in the middle of the book when the author reveals the twist. Yes, a book with a twist. If you like a book where you can relate to the characters and feel like you understand them, then this is NOT the book for you. You will have feelings for these characters; however, they will not be warm and fuzzy. Just think about Scarlett in Gone with the Wind and then you might begin to imagine how you will feel about these characters in Flynn's book. I suggest you try this book and if at the beginning you're not sold, keep reading. I promise it will be worth your while.
